Your inspection stays with you
Checker for Rivian is made by Vera Labs LLC. The app does not require an account and does not send your inspections, photographs, notes, vehicle details or VIN to us. This information is stored locally on your device.
We do not include analytics, advertising, ad tracking or third-party tracking tools in the app. We do not sell your personal information.
Photos and permissions
Checker asks for camera access when you choose to take inspection photos. Photos and their capture times are saved with your inspection on your device. You can decline camera access and continue using the checklist and notes.
Checker does not request your location or add location tags. Photos you import can retain existing metadata, including location, and exported originals can carry that metadata. Checker does not upload your photo library.
Sharing is your choice
You can choose to copy or share findings, export an inspection archive, or share a PDF report with Inspection Plus. These actions may include your vehicle details, VIN, notes and photos. Check what you are sharing and choose the recipient or destination yourself.
Once you share or export information, the recipient or service you choose handles that copy under its own practices. Checker does not send an additional copy to Vera Labs LLC.
Purchases through Apple
Apple processes Inspection Plus purchases. Checker uses Apple's StoreKit service to check whether your Apple Account has access to Plus and to restore that access. We do not receive your payment card details.
Apple handles purchase and transaction information under its own privacy practices. Buying Plus does not create an account with Vera Labs LLC.
Keeping and deleting your data
Inspection data remains on your device until you remove the app and its local data. Starting a new inspection preserves the previous inspection locally; it does not erase its notes or photos. The current version does not provide an in-app control to delete inspections or individual photos.
Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device. Offloading the app may keep that data. Your device's operating system backups may also include Checker data, depending on your settings.
Exported files, shared copies and device backups are separate from the app's local storage. Manage or delete those copies using the app, service or backup settings where you keep them. We cannot retrieve or delete local inspections or copies we do not hold.
When you contact support
If you email support, you choose what to send us. We receive your email address, message and any attachments so we can respond. Please share only the details needed to explain the issue; a full VIN or inspection archive is usually unnecessary.
We use support correspondence to answer your request and address the issue you report. Our email provider processes these messages to deliver and store them. You can contact us to ask about or request deletion of correspondence we hold, subject to any legal retention obligations.
This website
The Checker website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, external fonts or contact forms. Email links open your own email app.
The website is hosted on Railway. To deliver and protect the site, Railway may process technical request information such as your IP address, browser information, requested page and request time. This website hosting activity is separate from the information stored locally in the Checker app and is governed by the hosting provider's applicable privacy practices.
Policy updates and contact
If our practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date. The app includes a copy of the policy for the version you have installed; the website carries the latest published version.
